From Greenland to Patagonia, from the Himalayas to the Rocky Mountains, glaciers are in retreat. These "rivers of ice" are sources of both natural beauty and water supplies and their collapse are of major environmental concern. Pondaray introduces a new wall poster depicting "Photographers Perspectives on Global Warming" which combines both historical and contemporary images of mountain glaciers from around the world. These photographs and additional "re-photography" will be included in a new book, "Earth Under Fire: How Global Warming is Changing the World" to be published by the University of California Press. This new graphic poster continues Pondaray's offerings of fine photography derived from natural history research and other visual presentations.
